Allisha began her Doula journey after giving birth to her son at Charleston Birth Place. Her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience ignited a passion within her to educate, walk alongside, and serve women in this beautiful, challenging, and life-
changing season. Having experienced a lack of genuine care in the first half of her pregnancy, she knows firsthand what a difference this can make. With the encouragement from mentors, family, and friends, she was led to Still Birthday University and completed her training in October of 2015. She immediately began attending births, educating and supporting families, and continues to grow with
each encounter. Her training immersed her deeply in bereavement and how to support families enduring tragic loss. She strives to walk beside, respect, serve, and honor the family regardless of the situation or place of birth. She is humbled by the opportunity to sojourn with a family through this monumental season of their lives.
