While I've always wanted to work with babies and their families, my own journey into birth began 14 years ago when I was pregnant with my first baby. Far from empowered, supported or understood, I was a teen mom with no voice. Long before I knew that doulas existed or what they did, I knew I wanted to support pregnant and laboring women. While I felt strongly about this, it was during my second pregnancy that I really became passionate about pregnancy and birth. Shortly after, over the next few years, I had the honor of attending several births for family and friends, and providing many hours of emotional support and information to others.

Meanwhile, I ventured down the path of homeschooling mom to 4 girls, each with a birth story as different as their personality. I've also continued in self education, absorbing all the information I could get my hands on. I received more formal training through Childbirth International and DONA.

Personally, I have a real passion for people and establishing lasting relationships. I am empathetic and compassionate. I enjoy being helpful and serving people in the ways that are most beneficial to them. As a birth doula, I am committed to providing unconditional emotional support in a positive and respectful manner. I will assist in obtaining information to make informed choices for your birth. I desire to instill confidence and inspire strength.
