Coastal Waves Doula Services Birth and postpartum doula Officer Board of Professional Doulas of Charleston JoAnna is a Madirella certified birth and postpartum doula. She is currently pursuing two associate degrees at Trident Technical College majoring in science and nursing. Once she graduates, she wants to be a labor and delivery nurse for our local hospitals. Prior to becoming a doula, JoAnna was a private nanny for multiple families in the Charleston area. During her time as a nanny JoAnna began to learn different ways families need help during this chapter of their lives. JoAnna aims to help ease the transition of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period for her clients and to leave a positive mark on the birthing community in the low country.
